Blog Roll

Barr None

I have finally calmed down. I was just rolling on the floor earlier. What made me laugh and spew milk our of my nose holes? Why none other then Tony Barr's website.http://www.tonybarr2006.com/facts.asp

You see Tony a very nice lib is running for congress against our friend Bill Shuster in central Pa.

I will start with his platform and see what sort of issues are so important to Mr. Barf. *woops typo*

Well Campaign finance reform *yawn-stretch* Oh yes a very important topic.
Very close if not on top of my list.

Generational dept? Oh I get it the deficit. Notice how libs change words to make it sound better or worse what ever fits there agenda.

The following is a quote from Mr. Barr's website:

"By spending more wisely and following a prudent, common-sense corporate and individual taxation policy, we can grow the economy and cut the deficit."

Wow sounds like a nice way to say "Raise your taxes"

He also accuses Bush-Shuster of waging war on workers.

His education section left me rolling. His following remark just made me laugh.

"But we cannot be so foolish as to hold a poor school district without the resources to handle non-traditional or special needs students to the same standards as a wealthy district, without providing the resources to poor districts to meet the standards."

Hey poor kids you don't need to read and write or anything because you'r poor. You do not need to meet the standards of rich kids because you are stupid, but not to worry I will promise to throw money down that vast rat pit known as the educational system. It will not benefit you one bit, but your standards will be so low it won't matter.

From what I gather from his energy dependent section, Tony is a tree hugger.

Mr. Barr's other issues read like a liberal play book so nothing new there.

The war on terror is on my mind everyday, but does not seem to be on Tony's agenda at all.

Since this is Horseblogs: I do not know if Tony Barr or Bill Shuster for that matter owns or even likes horses.

First post, So What!

An introduction:

Me and my Babe live here in the mountains of southern Pa. A small hunk of land with a "crick" and a field. Here we take care of our animals. Horses, dogs and cats. With no possibility to have children they are our babies.

Since this is my blog, I will write what ever I feel like and if you don't like it you can go get an ice cream bar and cry.

OK, now on to the blog itself.

There is alot of wives tales about horses so here I will dispel some of them.

Horses sleep standing up:

Wrong, horses doze standing up in fact they sleep laying down. They have to lay down to go into a deep REM sleep. When a horse lays down flat this is when their are in a deep sleep where they can dream. Their legs twitch and even give out little equine snores. I wonder what they dream about? Well knowing my horses probably food.   They need to get their sleep to make them healthy and happy.

Every time a horse rolls they are worth and extra fifty bucks:

Hey, I don't know. Could be. This saying just means that when a horse is rolling every time they complete a roll they are worth 50 more bucks.

Old timers use to deworm their horses with tobacco:

They sure did. I don't know if it would deworm a horse. Most horses like tobacco though.
You are better off getting a name brand deworming product and asking your local feed store, stable, or someone in the know about a deworming schedule for your horse.

Hot bloods, warm bloods and cold bloods:

This has nothing to do with the temperature of the horses blood. Oh by the way a horses body temperature is about 100° F. Has more to do with where the breed came from. An Arabian is considered a hot blood because it comes from the hot dessert of Egypt and surrounding areas.

Ok enough for now. Thanks
